Blu-BiLLioN - Aqua PV
Blu-BiLLioN is my latest j-rock obsession, and I came upon it by accident. I was looking for another artist and suddenly I saw a pv named Aqua. I instantly thought of Shazna (Aqua is my favorite song!) so I clicked on it. So I've been buying their cds from Aqua onward. I even have their live DVD. I can't wait until November 19th - that's when their next single drops!
Itano Tomomi - Stay by my side
There used to be a really cute video someone had made using clips of the singer, but sadly, it got taken down. I can't really tell you much about Tomomi, other than that she used to be in one of the incredibly popular super girl groups ... seriously, how many people does it take to sing one song? 50, apparently. I just stumbled upon this song, don't know why I decided to click on it, but I did. She's pretty cute and her voice sounds sweet. This is actually one of the coupling tracks off her first single. 3.5/5
Finally got out of my funk with the help of some good music. "Last Call", by Brazilian Girls to be specific. Last.fm describes their music as a mixture of "reggae, electronica, jazz, bossa nova, and various other influences." And apparently, no one in the band is from Brazil. I first heard them while listening to Pandora (how great is Pandora?!!). Anyway, I was going through Spotify and found them by accident while searching for something else. I remembered the name because I remembered making a Pandora station for them.
Anyway, they're signed to Verve and they have a Facebook page. They also have a page on Myspace (who knew that was still around??) where you can listen to most of their songs, including "Last Call".

Bored, bored, bored..... I'm falling asleep as I type this. I don't know if it's just the mood I'm in or what. I'm not excited about anything. I can't even find any music that pleases me. Even stuff I used to like. And without music.... I have no life, really. Maybe this is a good thing, telling me it's time to stop depending on external things in order to feel good.
What makes me mad is that I paid a lot of money for these cd's and now they're worthless. The shipping alone is outrageous. This is why people download music, because there's so much overpriced crap out there. I know they have 30-second song previews, but I need to hear the whole thing in order to really appreciate it. And with these independent artists you usually don't get previews.
Oh well. First world problems. Lesson learned.
I didn't sleep last night. On purpose. I didn't want to waste the time I have to myself. During the day I have to take care of my mother and I don't really get a break.
Maybe I just need to lay off the music for a while. Maybe I just need time to sort things out and be productive.
I wish I still knew HTML and had photoshop . Then I could make a website.

Do you get irritated that your profile doesn't alphabetically list the things that interest you? Well, here's a site that fixes that problem:

- Select Standard Alphabetical order
- Select comma under Input
- Under Output, select the Custom Separator box and enter a comma followed by a space
- Then just copy and paste your list of things you like, hit the button and presto! it's all alphabetized
- Then just copy & paste the result to your profile
